As part of the strategy in strengthening the position in rapidly developing economies and also to fulfill the global market, PT FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia ("FSCM"), a subsidiary of PT Astra Otoparts Tbk, formed a new joint venture company in China in collaboration with SUNFUN CHAIN (HANGZHOU) Co., Ltd. ("SUNFUN") to produce motorcycle chains.

The plan, for which a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed, is now being defined and calls for a partnership with a majority position 40% by FSCM and 60% by SUNFUN.

The new factory will be built in the beginning of year 2012 in Cangqian Town, Yuhang, Hangzhou , Republic of China, and will require a total investment of 41 million China Yuan. The production is expected to start in mid 2012 and will be full operation in 2014.
